Groups and Activities

As well as Sunday services and mid-week meditation, Meadrow chapel runs a changing programme of groups and activities including:-

Community Art

We currently offer drop-in Community Art sessions in the hall once a month on Thursday afternoons. These are informal sessions for people wanting to try their hand at drawing and painting - all materials are provided and there is no charge (though a small donation to cover costs is appreciated). No artistic experience is required and guidance is available.

Come and discover your creativity in a relaxed, informal setting - or just drop by for a cup of tea and chat.

Check the PDF monthly version of the calendar for dates of sessions, or for more information contact Sheena.

Book Group at the Unitarian Chapel

We have started a new book group, meeting monthly in the chapel. We discuss a wide range of modern novels and literary classics. For more information and to see the list of books we have read so far click here....

Study Groups
Build Your Own Theology

We run occasional study and self-development groups covering a range of topics. Previous groups at Meadrow have included - 'Build your own Theology', 'Soul Poetry', 'Spirituality in Everyday Life', Ageing, Parenting, Work-Life issues and Play readings.

Workshops and Concerts
A concert in the chapel

We also host occasional Saturday workshops and concerts.

For up to date information on what's on at Meadrow, see the PDF monthly calendar.

Congregational Weekend

For the last two years we have enjoyed a long weekend at the "Nightingale centre" - the Unitarian holiday and conference centre in Great Hucklow in the Peak District. This weekend is a great way to get to know other members of the congregation.

The weekend normally involves some informal activities, walks in the countryside, meditation sessions, and trips to local attractions.
