Each year the congregation nominates several charities to support. In 2010 we raised money for the following:
We seek to draw attention to social justice issues in our worship and find fun ways of involving our young people:
Nov 2009 - Filling shoe-boxes with gifts to be sent to Eastern Europe, via the Rotary club scheme.
Nov 2009-10 - Making cards and writing messages of support to prisoners of conscience via Amnesty International's Greetings Card Campaign.
Fairtrade 2010-11 - For the last two years we have held special Family services to mark Fairtrade Fortnight. In February 2011 we decorated cotton flags as part of the Fair Trade Foundation's attempt to beat a world record for the longest and fairest ever bunting - after which we enjoyed dishes made with Fairtrade ingredients
